A Popular Telugu OTT platform is streaming the latest movie of a young hero. While the movie has been declared a disaster by film critics, people who have this OTT subscription are surely going to watch it, as they got nothing to lose except time.
An interesting talk is being heard about the OTT deal made with the makers of this movie is doing rounds now. Actually, the makers of the movie are quite hopeless on the film’s sales because of the pathetic output churned out by the director. But then, the OTT platform is said to have offered ‘pay per view’ deal to the movie by giving 50 lakhs advance and then they will promote the movie extensively on social media to gather more visitors.
So far the OTT provider is said to have got lakhs of viewers to watch the movie and that will bring close to 75 lakhs income to the movie makers. And that way, they are not losing their investment because the number of new subscriptions and the subsequent income is way bigger than this due to this movie. Had they bought the film on outrate basis, the OTT wouldn’t have recovered their investment easily.
And then, this movie makers are looking forward to getting their balance investment by selling satellite and dubbing rights. The film is said to have cost the producers to the tune of 3 crores.
