SK23: Murugadoss’ High-Budget Bilingual After Disaster ‘Spyder’

There seems to be this strong reason for Mahesh Babu to stick to commercial and message-oriented films for a while. And the reason is going for experiments like Spyder, which was executed in a distasteful manner that the audience rejected right away.

Well, the director of the film Murugadoss had plans to direct top-tier heroes in Telugu after Spyder, but the film’s fate changed the minds of all those heroes and Murugadoss stayed with his Tamil films like Sarkar and Darbar. After almost six years, the director is coming with a bilingual which is being said to be shot on a huge budget.

Murugadoss joined hands with Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan for a bilingual and the movie will be released in Telugu and Tamil. Sivakarthikeyan emerged as a star in Tamil with good movies and his dubbed films garnered fans in Telugu also. The movie has Rukmini Vasanth of Sapta Sagaralu Daati fame as heroine.

Well, this SK23 is said to be a commercial entertainer and was launched yesterday. Anirudh is the music composer for the film. It has to be seen if Murugadoss regains his fame in Telugu with SK23 because Spyder’s disaster still haunts him in the Telugu cinema arena.
