Sai Dharam Tej joined hands with director Sampath Nandi for a prestigious film titled Gaanja Shankar. The film’s first look has come out already and everyone is waiting for the next update. However, the speculations are rife that the makers shelved the project. In the middle of all this, the Telangana Anti Narcotics Board sent notices to the film unit.
The Telangana Anti Narcotics Bureau urged the film unit to alter both the title and storyline of the movie, citing concerns that it glorifies drug consumption and sales. They sent a detailed letter on the same, elaborating on their concerns. The notices have been sent to Sai Dharam Tej, Sampath Nandi the film’s producer S Naga Vamshi.
The failure to comply with these changes could result in punitive measures under the NDPS Act, revealed the notices.
Trivikram’s wife Sai Soujanya is also one of the producers of this project. The film is being made under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. The film unit is yet to respond to these notices.
