For reasons like the Sankranthi festival already eating away the pockets of film lovers due to the huge number of films that are released, and with exams around the corner for students, the second half of February is not usually preferred by Telugu producers. That’s how the upcoming Friday is being left for small films to make big noise.
On February 23rd, we have no single big film hitting the cinemas, while the likes of Viva Harsha’s Sundaram Master, Abhinav Gomatam’s Masthu Shades Unnai Ra, child artist turned hero Deepak Saroj’s Siddharth Roy and Allu Arjun’s cousin Viraan’s Mukhya Gamanika getting ready to release in theatres. While a couple of other small movies and dubbed films are also hitting the marquee, the above-mentioned films are currently making some noise. As all of them have targeted the same date, surely the one with content and heavy promotions gets attention at the box office.
With films like Operation Valentine, Bheema, Gaami, Tillu Square locking the March 2024 dates, surely Feb 23rd seems to be the only option for all these small movies. For now, the trailers of all these movies are interestingly cut but we have to see how far the content actually works.
