Rahul Sankirtyan is one of the talented filmmakers in Telugu. His last film was Shyam Singha Roy, starring Natural Star Nani in the lead role. Although the film performed very well, the director is yet to announce his next film. Rahul took his sweet time after SSR’s release.
Now, the latest reports in the Telugu film circles confirm that Rahul is working on a period drama. The script work for the project is in progress, and the talented director wants to bring Nandamuri Balakrishna on board.
Balakrishna is also planning to do different kinds of films, as he has been working on regular commercial potboilers for quite some time now. Rahul shares a good bond with Balakrishna, and the duo seems to have come on the same page regarding a plot that is set against the period backdrop.
The project is reportedly in discussions for quite some time, and a formal confirmation might come out once the script is locked.
On the other hand, Balakrishna is currently working on a film, in the direction of KS Ravindra.
