Miss World Siren Is Looking Forward To Glam Roles

As Telugu cinema happens to be the literal crowned king of Indian Film Circuits right now, almost every star and starlet is trying to make their presence felt here. Riding on those waves, former Miss World Manushi Chillar will be now making her Telugu debut with the bilingual film “Operation Valentine” which has Varun Tej featured as a fighter jet pilot.

During the media interaction in Hyderabad at the trailer launch, when Gulte.com questioned the actress about the ‘x’ factor she brings to the screen as a debutant, Manushi said: “Pageantry is a role you play for a year, but acting is a career. I don’t think platforms like Miss India, and Miss World give you certain exposure and access to the film industry, otherwise as an actor, you have to start from scratch. But acting will improve only with time, and I’m optimistic about the result of Operation Valentine”.

When quizzed if she is ready to do glamorous roles along with the author-backed characters on the screen like Aishwarya Rai and Sushmita Sen, Manushi is quick to respond. “That’s the kind of edge we have as beauty contest winners. I’m looking forward to doing that ultra-glamorous stuff on the screen”, she says.

Manushi Chillar, the 26-year-old actress from Haryana and Delhi, was earlier a model and the winner of Miss World 2017; made her Bollywood debut with Akshay Kumar’s Samrat Prithviraj which didn’t click at the box office.
