Elections On May 13th – Huge Blow To Kalki?

Andhra Pradesh is going to vote for the Assembly and Parliament elections on May 13th, while Telangana will also vote on the same date for the Loksabha seats. Guess what, this is likely to give a huge blow to Pan-India Superstar Prabhas’ upcoming film “Kalki 2898 AD”.

Apparently, Kalki 2898 AD is set for a May 9th, 2024 release and the makers have re-confirmed the same on multiple occasions. However, with the election date set for May 13th, the heat of the political campaigns will last till May 11th and that won’t give big mileage for any movie released before that. It looks like the May 9th date of Kalki 2898 AD will be a tough one to crack for the team now, as the film’s box office potential might get affected big time if it goes for the same date.

Inside sources have indicated that the Kalki 2898 AD team is convening a big meeting tonight with all the stakeholders, to take a final call on the movie’s possible release date if not May 9th. They might opt for a release date in the third week of May to cash on the Summer holiday potential, otherwise they need to find another big holiday season.
