Not Vishwaksen’s Laila, Vishwaksen Is Laila

The announcement of Vishwaksen’s Laila has kicked up a new discussion in film circles. Especially the title animation teaser released today has lots of feminine elements including lipstick being fired from a gun. While that confused many, actually the makers have given lots of clues through that.

In fact, Vishwaksen is going to portray a female role in the movie, as he is doing the role something akin to that of Rajendra Prasad’s Madam and Ayushman Khurrana’s Dream Girl.

We hear that the hero will be seen in the lady getup for the whole first half of the film, while the film shifts to a crime comedy in the second half and Vishwak will appear in a rugged role set in Charminar backdrop. Though some are thinking that heroine Akanksha Sharma is playing the role of Laila, it is Vishwak’s name which happens to be Laila in the movie.

Directed by newcomer Ram Narayan, the film has drawn inspiration from various films that have the protagonist appearing in the role of a lady. After his films Gangs Of Godavari and Mechanic Rocky releases, Laila will come into theatres, while #CULT might also release around same time.
