Manjummel Boys Trailer: Adventurous Voyage

Manjummel Boys, the recent Malayalam blockbuster directed by Chidambaram S Poduval, was hailed as a cinematic triumph. The attention for the Telugu version bourgeoned after Mythri Movie Makers acquired the rights. Today, the film’s theatrical trailer was dropped.

It’s the story of a bunch of youngsters from Manjummel who encounter a tragedy at the Guna Caves in Tamil Nadu’s Kodaikanal. The Guna Caves is also called Devil’s Kitchen and history has it that no one who fell into it made it out alive. Will one of the friends who fell into a deep ravine in the cave be saved?

The story captures the true essence of friendship with superlative performances from Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Balu Varghese, Ganapathi, Jean Paul Lal, Chandu Salimkumar, etc. The movie shines in its technical aspects. The direction by Chidambaram is praiseworthy, particularly in the way it effortlessly shifts from ecstatic moments to scenes packed with tension.

Shyju Khalid’s camera work deserves a special mention for showing the beautiful sceneries in Kodaikanal enchantingly. Sushin Shyam brings that tautness with his suspenseful music.

The trailer promises that Manjummel Boys is an adventurous voyage that is going to work well in Telugu as well. Mythri Movie Makers backing is the other advantage for the Telugu version. The dubbing work deserves special mention. The movie will be released on April 6th.
