Vijay Deverakonda has been aggressively promoting his Family Star movie. The heroine of the film Mrunal Thakur and the producer Dil Raju also have been doing their best to promote Family Star.
With the movie releasing this Friday, the team arranged a pre-release event. Vijay Deverakonda during his speech opened up about his infamous ‘200 crore gross’ comment.
Vijay Deverakonda during Liger promotions said he is expecting the movie to start with 200 crore collections and it backfired big after the movie ended up as one of the biggest disasters ever. Vijay spoke about the same saying it was never wrong to say he would hit the 200 crore mark but it was a mistake to not achieve it.
Recalling his dream of collecting 100 crores was fulfilled with his fourth movie, Vijay says he would hit that 200 crores one day and until then he is ready to take the insult and he deserves it.
Interestingly, Vijay Deverakonda did not say his Family Star would make 200 crores. Maybe he would want to emphasize his statement once Family Star emerges as a big hit and makes the desired numbers.
