This Film To Bring Back ‘Audio Function’ Trend

When was the last time you heard about ‘audio function’ related to a top Telugu film? These are the days where each song of a film is being launched at a time, in some theatre or other media event. And then a pre-release event is happening. That’s what even the likes of Mani Sharma have complained about recently. He stated that releasing all the songs of an album at once will give mileage to every song.

Looks like Oscar winner MM Keervani has taken these words quite seriously. For the upcoming film “Love Me”, produced by Dil Raju and featuring his brother’s son Asish Reddy in the lead, there will be an audio function now, and all the rest of the songs will be unveiled on April 9th at a special event. This event is called “audio function”. But then, the first single of Love Me- If you Dare was released already, and it looks like the rest of the songs will be released at once.

In case this function clicks, surely there will be other movies to follow it. But then, previously there used to be cassettes, CDs and DVDs to be released at these functions, such that music lovers would buy them, and hear the songs. Now that everything is digital, and being uploaded on music apps and YouTube, we have to see what would they release at audio functions.
