Will Devarakonda Repeat The ‘Baby’ Magic?

Riding high on the unexpected success of his recent film “Baby,” the younger of the Devarakondas, Anand, is all set for the release of “Gam Gam Ganesha” on May 31st. “Baby,” a coming-of-age comedy-drama, became a sleeper hit, exceeding expectations and crossing the ₹100 crore mark— and that’s what stirs up discussions now.

The pressure is now on for “Gam Gam Ganesha” to replicate this magic and solidify Anand’s position in Tollywood. While the upcoming film is an action-comedy, a genre shift from “Baby,” the delay of the film’s release from some time has actually affected the business prospects, say sources.

But the film’s success will ultimately depend on its ability to deliver a compelling story and stand out in a competitive release window.

Can Anand Deverakonda ride the “Baby” wave to another box office success? Only time will tell. However, the young hero should make sure to promote the film big time for a month now such that it would get great openings.
