The much-anticipated release of universal hero Kamal Haasan and star filmmaker S.Shankar’s Indian 2 aka Bharateeyudu 2 seems to be facing a delay again. While this sequel to the sensational blockbuster has garnered immense excitement among fans, holding a cult status since its predecessor’s success, recently it came out that the film is hitting cinemas on June 27th, 2024. Looks like that is not true.
Indian-2 had been stuck in the production pipeline for a considerable time until Udhayanidhi Stalin took charge, reviving the project’s momentum. However, the latest buzz within Kollywood film circles indicates a shift in the release schedule, with July 11 being considered as the potential new release date. While an official confirmation is yet to be announced, industry insiders are worried that if Bharateeyudu 2 gets delayed, then Ram Charan’s Game Changer might also get delayed.
In fact, Shankar has been juggling between Indian 2 and Game Changer for a long time after Lyca Productions approached Court to make the director wrap the Kamal Haasan starrer first rather than focusing on Ram Charan’s movie. At a time when Charan’s film is also wrapping all the schedules, many are wondering why these delays in Indian 2 are happening. As Shankar has to take care of the post-production works of both, this doubt usually arises.
However, it looks like with both the films wrapping shootings and only post-production pending, there would be no impact of each other on the release dates.
