Until quitting recently, Cartoonist Sridhar was a well-known name for a generation as he used to say ‘hello’ to Telugu people with his cartoons in Eenadu newspaper.
With age catching up and the cartoonist wanting to take a rest in life rather than running after political news every day to create interesting cartoons, he took a break. However, he stays close to fans via social media.
With the sudden demise of Ramoji Rao today, Sridhar poured love for his former boss through a special cartoon. In this toon, we could see a commoner and Ramoji Rao walking side by side, quite happily, while the politician in the back walks along with his security guards yet in a sense of insecurity, tells us the tale.
Ramoji is carrying Eenadu paper in hand, and always stands by the common man, which is what the cartoon says, and it’s true to the core.
Most of Eenadu’s top-level employees and former employees who knew the ‘Chairman Sir’ pretty closely are inconsolable right now because of the bond they share with Ramoji Rao.
