The name “Khaidi No 6106” has become a controversial sensation in the Kannada film industry, as it is directly linked to the ongoing legal case surrounding popular hero Darshan.
Darshan, who is currently in judicial custody in connection with the alleged murder of his fan Renukaswamy, was assigned prisoner number 6106 at the Parappana Agrahara Prison. This number has since gained immense popularity among Darshan’s die-hard fans, who have gone as far as tattooing it on their bodies and turning it name-plates on their vehicles.
The widespread use of “Khaidi No 6106” has not gone unnoticed, with filmmakers reportedly rushing to the film chamber to register titles related to the case. However, the film chamber has refused to entertain any such requests, as the matter is still sub-judice. Despite the legal complications, the “Khaidi No 6106” craze has continued to grow, with some even suggesting that the case could be turned into a feature film.
