OTT platforms deliver cinema to the doorstep, and because of the pandemic around us, people naturally got attracted to these streaming services. The theatres in the country stopped functioning from March this year, and the operations were resumed recently.
During the lockdown, multiple movies made way to the OTT platforms in different languages, but not even a single film managed to win the audiences’ reception. Telugu movies especially disappointed the audiences completely.
Natural Star Nani’s ‘V’ is the first big film to release the OTT platform. Before that, a couple of films starring Satya Dev, including Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya, too, made way to OTT platforms but failed big to entertain the viewers. Orey Bujjiga and Nishabdham are the recent releases on the digital streaming platforms, and both ended as flops.
In this scenario, two new movies are gearing up for a release on OTT. One of them is a small film Colour Photo, starring Suhas in the lead role. Aha picked the film and will release it on October 24th. The film is made on a small budget and is carrying a positive buzz. On the other hand, Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru is also heading for a release on Amazon Prime Video. The film’s Telugu version, Aakashame Nee Haddu Ra, is also releasing on the same platform on the 30th of this month.
