Route Clear For Kalki’s Sensational Run

Rebel Star Prabhas joined the elite 1000-crore club with his latest film, Kalki 2898 AD. This is his second film, after Baahubali 2, to join this prestigious club. Meanwhile, everyone thought that the release of Bharateeyudu 2 would dent Kalki’s storm at the box office. But it doesn’t seem to be the case now. After a great first weekend run, Kalki witnessed a slump in collections during the weekdays.

But as there were no big releases a week after its release, Kalki had a sensational second weekend too. Later, the prices were dropped and Kalki witnessed a good occupancy across all areas earlier this week as well. But everyone thought that the collections would drop once Bharateeyudu hit the screens. Bharateeyudu was released yesterday. It opened well at the box office, thanks to the hiked ticket rates in Telangana.

However, the movie received a unanimous negative talk from the audience. As a result, we can expect the collections to drop drastically right on the second day. Thus, Kalki will have a sensational weekend for the third consecutive time. Trade analysts are expecting it to do well for the next week in Telugu states as well as the North Indian circuit.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, this movie features Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan in other important roles.
