Nithya Menen To Do Thriller Series?

Director Avasarala Srinivas is said to be planning a high-budget thriller web series. He is planning to rope in actress Nithya Menen to do the lead role in this series. While the talks are in nascent phase, it is heard that Nithya is said to be impressed and positive to do the series. Nithya has done experimental roles and films in the past. Especially, her lesbian character in Awe was unconventional and bagged critical acclaim.

Meanwhile, Nithya is not new for web series. She has already done ‘Breathe : Into the Shadows’ a Hindi web series released on Amazon. This is why makers are trying to rope in Nithya as she would have a market in south-languages and also in Hindi. That is why Avasarala wanted Nithya to do this series. Confirmation on Nithya coming on board is still awaited.

This untitled web series is being bankrolled by noted production house Vyjayanthi Movies that has recent hits like Mahanati. While the production house planned a pan-India film with Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan, it is interesting that the makers are also foraying into production of web series.
