The makers of the most awaited sequel of the season, Pushpa 2, which stars National Award winning actor Allu Arjun in the lead role and director Sukumar at the helm, announced December 5th as the new release date during today’s press meet in Hyderabad.
Mythri Movie Makers, the production house behind this crime thriller franchise, is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the second part takes a humongous opening in all territories. Meanwhile, one of the producers from Mythri made key comments on Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.
He said Pawan Kalyan and his government in Andhra Pradesh are extending complete cooperation for all films. He revealed that Pawan Kalyan immediately agreed to the proposal to hike ticket prices for Kalki 2898AD as a lot of budget was involved in making big-ticket films. Referring to their interaction, he revealed that Pawan Kalyan said ” Ticket price 100 ah, inka penchukondi” ( Increase more if you want)
He said the Deputy CM was so welcoming and gave complete freedom to hike ticket prices based on the budget.
As ticket prices play a significant role in giving a head start for big-ticket films, Pushpa 2 will also benefit largely with hikes and permissions for special screenings just like NTR’s Devara. The previous government led by Jagan Mohan Reddy created so many hurdles for ticket hikes and impacted the theatrical business of Telugu films in Andhra Pradesh.
The change of government in AP seems to have come as a big relief for Tollywood.
