A Rare Feat By Dulquer Salmaan With Lucky Baskhar 

Dulquer Salmaan is a hero & an actor who is hailed from the Malayalam film industry but he has a good following among audiences all over the country. Apart from Malayalam films, he did a few straight films in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi as well. He’s a very good actor and he always makes sure to lend his voice to the character he plays whenever he does a straight film in Telugu or Tamil or Hindi. 

He started his career with Malayalam films and delivered many memorable films but his decision to act in straight Telugu films is turning out to be super successful for him. So far, he acted in four Telugu films(i.e., Mahanati, Sita Ramam, A cameo in KALKI 2898AD and Lucky Baskar) and all four films worked out at the box office and are critically acclaimed as well. 

His recent straight Telugu film, Lucky Baskhar released on 31st October, received very good reviews and is still doing very well at the box office. The film collected ₹100 Crores gross worldwide until Sunday, 17th November and became Dulquer’s first hundred crores & highest-grossing film. It did very well not just in Telugu but also in Malayalam & Telugu as well.

Lucky Baskhar: ₹100+ Crores, Sita Ramam: ₹90+ Crores and Mahanati: ₹85+ Crores are the top three grossing films in his career so far and all of them are Telugu films. He is probably the only actor in India who has his top-three-grossing films and his first hundred crore grossing film from a film industry that he has not hailed from. It is a unique record that is going to be in record books for a very long time. 

He’s now again teaming up with, Swapna Cinema, the producers of Mahanati and Sita Ramam for a film titled, Aakasam Lo Oka Tara, a slice-of-life film, under the direction of Pavan Sadineni. Although the makers have yet to announce it officially, Sai Pallavi is said to be on board to play the female lead role in the film. If, Pavan Sadineni can come up with a good film, the combination of Dulquer, Sai Pallavi and Swapna Cinema will ensure the film becomes yet another hundred crores grosser at the box office.
