‘Sarangapani Jathakam’ Teaser: Comedy and thrills guaranteed

In the Teaser of ‘Sarangapani Jathakam’, it is hinted that the titular character’s obsession with astrology is his own undoing. The characters played by Srinivas Avasarala, VK Naresh, Roopa Kodavayur and Tanikella Bharani around Priyadarshi’s protagonist add different layers.

Director Mohanakrishna Indraganti’s third film with producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad (Sridevi Movies has previously made ‘Sammohanam’ and ‘Gentleman’ with the director) comes across as a combination of comedy and thrills.

The brand of comedy as seen in the Teaser is contemporary, while the theme goes beyond. Vennela Kishore has a prominent role, and this is his second major comedy with Indraganati after ‘Ami Thumi’.

Mixed with intriguing horoscopic elements, the film’s music is by Vivek Sagar. Jandhyala and EVV Satyanarayana brand of humour is not forced but organic. The ‘Balagam’ actor and the ‘Ashta Chamma’ director are playing to their strengths – comedy, their best zone by a distance.

Vijay Deverakonda, launching the Teaser, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating that he believes in destiny more than astrology. He noted the intriguing premise of the film, especially considering his previous collaboration with Priyadarshi on ‘Pelli Choopulu’.
