Legendary actors NTR and ANR are considered to be the two eyes of Telugu cinema. Despite their passing away, their legacy still continues today. Everytime when Nagarjuna sits to talk about his father, the question about a biopic on his life arises. Now, at the 55th IFFI event, Nag was asked about the same. However, he clearly turned down the idea of making a biopic but instead gave his thumbs-up for the documentary.
Answering the million-dollar question, “To talk about the biopic of ANR, we always talked about it. I think it is better to make a documentary on his life than a biopic. Making a picture of his life is very difficult. His life has a series of highs and making a film will be very boring. For a film, we need ups and downs while we often tell a story and fictionalize it. But, he is a gifted man whose path has a series of highs” he said.
“Instead, we will come up with a documentary where ANR will play himself,” confirmed Nagarjuna.
Earlier, the discussion of the ANR biopic came when Balakrishna attempted a biopic on NTR. Nagarjuna and his family members always turned down the idea of making a film on ANR, because there are considerably fewer low moments, which may not appeal to the audiences well.
