“I was in a red dress; he was in a blue suit,”

Akkineni Naga Chaitanya is married to Sobhita Dhulipala on December 4 at Annapurna Studios. In a heartfelt interview with an English media outlet after their wedding, the couple shared insights into their love story and how their relationship blossomed.

Sobhita revealed that she started following Naga Chaitanya on Instagram in April 2022. Their shared love for food brought them closer.

Their first meeting took place at a cafe in Mumbai, despite living in different cities—Chaitanya in Hyderabad and Sobhita in Mumbai. Their connection deepened through shared experiences, including memorable outings to a park in Karnataka and an Amazon Prime event.

After meeting each other during the promotions of their projects for Amazon Prime Video in Mumbai, they met again after a week. “I was in a red dress; he was in a blue suit. The rest is history,” she said.

Sobhita was once invited to the New Year celebrations at the Akkinenis, followed by Chaitanya meeting Sobhita’s parents.

Once, Chaitanya flew down to Mumbai, especially for a lunch date with Sobhita at Pali Village Café. Remembering the same, Sobhita shared, “That was the charming part. It was so old school in a way.” Later, on a trip to Goa, Chay reportedly proposed to Sobhita.

“Naga Chaitanya loves it when I speak in Telugu, and he would want me to converse in Telugu all the time,” shared Sobhita the Telugu connection brought them extremely close.
