Barroz Was Shot In Native 3D Format: Mohanlal

Mohanlal, for the first time, in his decades long career, directed a film called Barroz. What’s more, it’s a 3D film that will have a Pan India release. While Antony Perumbavoor bankrolled the project, it will release in Telugu through Mythri Movie Makers.

Mohanlal expressed his gratitude for all the love and support for the last four decades. “I’ve reached you with many stories and characters, and I am deeply grateful for your love and support. I am very happy to tell you that I have directed Barroz. This is a 3D film, shot in native 3D. No one has attempted this format in the last 40 years. It is a children-friendly film, a movie that both kids and adults can enjoy. We made it with a lot of love. It is a film that celebrates the child within all of us. The storytelling is quite unique.

The film features the work of Santosh Sivan, one of the best cameramen in India. My friend Rajeev Kumar, who worked on the first 3D film, is also part of this project. The music for the film has been composed by the talented child prodigy, Lydian Nadhaswaram. He brought an innocence to the music, delivering pure and beautiful songs. The background score for this movie is very special.

It has been a great pleasure to associate with Mythri Movie Makers. I previously worked with them on Janatha Garage. They really liked the content of Barroz and are releasing it with great vision. This is a family film, one that is suitable for audiences worldwide. Everyone will enjoy it.”

Mythri Movie Makers Ravi said that he loved the content. “When we visited Kerala, Mohanlal showed us some visuals of the songs from this film. They were mind-blowing. It reminded us of the films we watched as kids, like Chota Chetan. This movie, releasing during the festival season, will be something the whole family can enjoy together.

This is a real 3D film. From the very beginning of the shoot, it was filmed in 3D. It offers an amazing experience for the audience. I hope this film, which Mohanlal acted in, directed, and produced with a high budget, becomes a sensational hit.”

The movie will be arriving in cinemas tomorrow with premieres today.
