Can This Sequel Repeat The ‘Cult Classic’ Magic?

7/G Brindavan Colony is one of the evergreen romantic films of all time in South cinema. The bilingual film attained ‘Cult Classic’ status among youth audience of 2000s because of the flawless portrayal of unrequited love between a teenage boy and his romantic interest. Directed by Selvaraghavan, the film starred Ravi Krishna and Sonia Aggarwal in lead roles. Released in 2004, it turned out to be a blockbuster at the box office.

Twenty years later, the sequel of 7/G Brindavan Colony is getting ready to mesmerize the moviegoers again like the first part. The sequel sees the return of Ravi Krishna in the lead character again. Yaariyan 2 fame Anaswara Ranjan stepped into the famous ‘Anitha’ role played by Sonia Aggarwal. The shooting formalities are nearing completion and the makers are planning to release the film this year. Selvaraghavan is once again at the helm as director.

Usually, sequels of hit films garner huge anticipation and high expectations among audiences.
