“When Ram Charan was born, I was studying Intermediate. My brother got the news that he had a son, and they named him. My father, who was always near Lord Rama’s feet, wanted the name to be Anjaneya Swamy. He believed that Lord Anjaneya, despite his immense strength, always remained humble and grounded. No matter how powerful you become, you must always stay humble. That’s why the name ‘Ram Charan’ was chosen.

Chiranjeevi is like a father to me, and my Vadinamma is like my mother. That’s why Charan is like my younger brother. Back then, I was the mischievous one, always up to some trouble, but Charan, at just nine years old, would wake up early in the morning for horse riding. He would get ready in full gear—helmet, shoes, everything—while I would be lounging on the sofa, and he would be the one waking me up! He was so disciplined from a very young age. I never realized how much strength and potential he had.

Personally, I had never seen him dance before. I only saw his dancing skills on screen. Watching his performance in Rangasthalam, where he portrayed a character with the Godavari accent, I was truly in awe of his acting. In the future, I have no doubt that Charan will be recognized as the best actor.”
