Recently, composer Thaman shared an interesting incident about AI in music.

The song “Jaragandi Jaragandi” from Game Changer was initially leaked unofficially and received some negative feedback due to poor audio quality. However, the song was first recorded by a Hyderabadi singer named Hanuman, and AI technology was used to recreate the song in a way that made it sound as if Daler Mehndi had sung it.

The result was so realistic that listeners felt like the original artist was actually singing. Of course, proper permissions would have been obtained for such experiments, so there are no concerns about copyright. This experiment was similar to one carried out earlier by A.R. Rahman.

Despite the initial hiccups, many believe that the song “Jaragandi Jaragandi” will be a major highlight in Game Changer. Even the team, including SJ Surya, has expressed this opinion.
