TFI: All Eyes On February’s Prominent Releases

After the packed Sankranthi season, the Telugu film industry is going to have no big releases for the rest of the month. Thus, Tollywood looking forward to a busy month in the form of February, which has a series of notable films gearing up for release. Here is a look at them

Thandel:

The first big release of February is going to be Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi’s high-budget film, Thandel. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, high expectations are riding on this love story. Backed by Geetha Arts, Thandel will hit the screens on February 7.

Oka Pathakam Prakaram:

Actor Sai Ram Shankar, who is known for films like 143 and Danger, is going to test his luck with “Oka Pathakam Prakaram”, which is releasing on February 7. Shruti Sodhi and Ashima Narwal are playing the female leads in it.

Laila:

Mass Ka Das Vishwak Sen will arrive on Valentines’ Day with his film Laila, where he will be seen in a lady getup. The teaser was released recently and got a good response from the audience. Directed by Ram Narayan, Laila features Akanksha Sharma as the female lead.

Dilruba:

Kiran Abbavaram, who scored a super hit with Ka, is arriving with his next release Dilruba. Toutbed to be a romantic drama, Dilruba features Ruksar Dhillon and Nazia Davison as female leads. It will also hit the screens on February 14.

Raju Weds Rambai:

This a love story based in rural Telangana. Backed by director Venu Udugula, this film is slated for release on February 14.

Brahmanandam:

Brahamanandam is a slice-of-life drama featuring Raja Gautam and Brahmanandam in lead roles. The recently released teaser got a good response from the audience. The film is slated for release on February 14.

Ramam Raghavam:

Featuring Dhanraj and Samuthirakani as son and father, this movie explores the emotional dynamics between a dad and his son. The makers are planning to release the film on February 14.

Mazaka:

Featuring Sundeep Kishan and Ritu Varma in lead roles, Mazaka is a comedy-drama directed by Trinada Rao Nakkina. The film is slated for worldwide release on February 21. The recently released teaser promises the movie to be an out-and-out fun ride.

Apart from these films, dubbed films like Ajith’s Pattudala (February 6), Love Today fame Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dragon (February 14) and Aadi Pinishetty’s “Shabdam (February 28) are gearing up for release in February. Nithiin’s Thammudu or Robinhood may arrive in February last week. Sudheer Babu’s Jatadhara may also hit the screens during the same week.

On the whole, February is packed with notable releases every week and promises a good financial season for the Telugu film industry.
