Pushpa 2 BGM: Sam Makes Noise; DSP Carries Silence

Even before everyone could forget about the Pushpa 2 BGM controversy that happened during the film’s release time, composer Sam CS once again claimed the credit for 90 percent of the score in a recent interview. Without stopping there, he announced the release of the film’s OST. On the other hand, the film’s original composer, Devi Sri Prasad, is embracing complete silence.

It is in fact Devi Sri Prasad who worked for Pushpa 1. He also scored the songs for Pushpa 2, but when it comes to the BGM, the makers roped in Sam CS and a few other composers since DSP was not able to deliver the output as per the deadline. Sam CS claimed the credit for 90 percent of the BGM multiple times.

Devi Sri Prasad did not address the BGM controversy despite speaking to the media and talking at the pre-release and promotional events. DSP carried a sympathy factor during the film’s release since many of his fans felt that injustice has been done to him as he was sacked in the last minute. But, the production team had a different version to say that they wants to try multiple options for BGM.

Now, Sam CS posted on X that he plans to release the OST soon. Until the film’s release and even after the release, many think that Sam CS might have provided additional support to DSP. But if the OST releases, it will expose who scored those tracks in the film. We have to see if DSP will end his silence and give a clarity, at least for his fans.
