Wow! Sankranthiki Vasthunnam Breaks Baahubali 2’s Record

Sankranthiki Vasthunnam has no stopping at the box office. Two weeks after its release, the movie continues to do well and earns a lot of money. The latest reports suggest that the film broke Baahubali 2’s record as well.

As per the makers, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam crossed Baahubali 2’s 13th-day collections in Telugu states. Reportedly, Baahubali 2 collected Rs. 4.68 crores on its 13th day in Telugu states whereas Sankranthiki Vasthunnam collected over Rs. 7 crores on the same 13th day in AP and Telangana. This is an incredible feat, considering the fact that ticket rates are reduced in Andhra Pradesh recently. This proves the heavy footfalls that the film has been witnessing in Telugu states.

It has been quite some time since we have seen a family drama becoming such a huge blockbuster in Telugu cinema. When everyone was running behind high-budget pan-India films, director Anil Ravipudi proved that content matters and audiences would encourage any kind of content if it’s good. Until now, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam collected over Rs. 260 crore worldwide gross in just 12 days.

Starring Venkatesh, Aishwarya Rajesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary in lead roles, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam was produced by Dil Raju and Sirish.
