Akkineni Naga Chaitanya recently scored a big hit with the film Thandel. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the film is gearing up for a gross figure of 100 Cr rupees. Interestingly, Chay’s line up of films is so versatile.
The actor has done a romantic drama with Thandel but his next three films are different. The success of Dootha web series has given Chay the confidence to up his game. Now, the success of Thandel enabled him to shift gears and attempt different genres.
Naga Chaitanya will next be seen in a mystic thriller directed by Karthik Dandu of Virupaksha fame. The film will have supernatural elements, and it might be something similar to that of Dootha.
Up next for him is reportedly a horror comedy in the production of Arka Media. The film is going to be different and something that he has not attempted in the past.
Immediately after that, Chay plans to do the historical film Tenali Rama Krishna, which Chandoo spoke about during the success event of the film Thandel.
Naga Chaitanya will remake ANR’s classic hit. There is very limited appeal for historical films in recent times, but Chay wants to test his luck with the same.
All three upcoming films are not in alignment with the commercial meter, but then, Chay wants to flourish more as an actor with different genres and gain versatility. Despite having the commercial elements, if the films become a hit, Chay will surely be in the next league of actors.
