The Re Release Of Sanam Teri Kasam is now creating a storm in Bollywood. The super hit 2016 film was re-released recently. In a week of its release, the film went on to collect 30 Cr rupees at the box office.
Interestingly, the movie collected more than new release Loveyaapa. However, this blockbuster also paved way for a controversy regarding its sequel.
According to the latest reports in the film nagar, the film’s producer Deepak Mukut is unhappy that the directors are making the announcement regarding the sequel without his consultation.
The directors, Radhika and Vinay confirmed that the sequel works are underway and it is scheduled for a grand release during the Valentine’s Day in 2026.
Meanwhile, producer Deepak Mukut claims that he has the IP of the movie with him. And since he has the IP, anyone who intends to make a sequel or prequel or even a remake should consult him first.
“I announced the sequel in September 2024 with Harshvardhan Rane in the lead. As for the directors (Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru), I haven’t had any discussion with them. They haven’t met and spoken to me about it. I have not finalised any director,” the producer said, along with filing a copyright dispute.
