Global Star Ram Charan’s Game Changer was the first one to hit the screens during Sankranthi. The film is also the first to hit the OTT among the Sankranthi releases. Now, the second film of Sankranthi, Daaku Maharaaj, is set to hit the OTT. Netflix issued an official statement regarding the same.
In Telugu, the usual window period for a film to hit the OTT keeps changing, but most of the movies turn up on the OTT platforms in 4 weeks. Daaku Maharaaj was released on January 12th and it will be available on OTT from February 21st, which means the window period is close to 6 weeks.
On the other hand, as of now the film will have a release in its Hindi version too. Daaku is making its OTT debut amid the 50-day deal under Bollywood multiplex rules.
On the flip side, Sankranthi Ki Vasthunam will first be released on Zee Telugu and then will be released on its OTT platform Zee5.
