No Truth In Rumors Linking Mahesh Babu And Chhaava

Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava emerged as a supersuccessful film and has captured North audiences’ emotions being the story of Sambhaji Maharaj, the eledest son of Shivaji Maharaj. For the last few days after Chhaava became a box-office sensation, social media has been abuzz with a strange rumor linking Mahesh Babu to it.

Rumors had it that Chhaava director Laxman Utekar approached Mahesh Babu first for the lead role which was actually played by Vicky Kaushal. The rumor says that Mahesh Babu declined the offer saying the role is not suitable for him. Well, here comes the clarification from the director himself.

Laxman Utekar rubbished the rumor completely and says he had only Vicky Kaushal on his mind ever since he thought of making the film Chhaava. Laxman says he developed the script imagining Vicky Kaushal in the role and Vicky excelled in the role with amazing performance.

With the clarification from the director, it is an end to the rumors linking Mahesh Babu and Chhaava. Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna gave exceptional performances in their respective roles in Chhaava and they looked so apt.
