Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Daaku Maharaj has been a hit on Netflix, trending at No. 1 in India and receiving praise for his performance, Thaman’s electrifying score, and Bobby’s direction. However, the film’s performance in theatres didn’t match expectations, with many fans pointing out the lack of post-release promotions as a key reason.
While the film was heavily promoted before release, it faced tough competition during the Sankranthi season, and some fans feel the team missed opportunities to maintain momentum post-release. A similar situation occurred with Sithara Entertainments’ earlier film Lucky Baskhar, which also had a good opening but struggled to sustain box-office performance.
With films like Kingdom lined up, Sithara Entertainments can improve by focusing on stronger post-release promotional strategies, engaging audiences even after the initial excitement fades. By refining this approach, they can better capitalize on the success of their future projects.
