Maha Shivaratri: Upcoming Films With Shiva Backdrop

The entire Hindu diaspora is celebrating Maha Shivaratri today. Lord Shiva and Shiva Ratri are also very significant in Telugu cinema. Over the years, we have seen many films and film songs dedicated to Lord Shiva. This year, many movies revolve around Lord Shiva. Here is a look at them:

Kannappa:

Manchu Vishnu’s ambitious project Kannappa is based on the story of Lord Shiva’s devotee Bhakta Kanappa. The film is slated for a worldwide release on April 25. It features Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva. Prabhas, Mohanlal, Mohan Babu and Kajal Aggarwal play other key roles in it.

Akhanda 2:

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s upcoming film Akhanda 2 features him as a Lord Shiva devotee. He will be reprising his role from the first part, Akhanda. Directed by Boyapati Srinu, Akhanda 2 will hit the screens later this year.

Odela 2:

Tamannaah plays the role of Shiva Shakti in this upcoming movie. It will also have Lord Shiva as a core of the plot. Vasshishta N Simha and Hebah Patel play the other key roles in it. The movie is written by Sampath Nandi. He also did the direction supervision for it. Ashok Teja directs the movie.

Haindhava:

Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas is coming up with his new movie Haindhava, whose plot revolves around a temple in a village. It is also being heard that Sai Sreenivas will be seen as Aghora in this film. Haindhava will be released later this year.

Jatadhara:

Sudheer Babu recently kickstarted his new film Jatadhara, which apparently revolves around the mystical powers of the almighty. The movie is being made on a pan-India scale.

A Masterpiece:

This superhero film, which also features Lord Shiva at its core, will hit the screens very soon. Aravind Krishna plays the lead role. Ashu Reddy and Jyoti Purvaj play other lead roles.
