Lucky Baskhar Sets a New Record on Netflix!

Dulquer Salmaan and Meenakshi Chaudhary played the lead roles in the Telugu film Lucky Baskhar. The film was released During Diwali and ended up becoming a big hit. The movie not only cemented Dulquer’s position as a hero in Telugu but also offered a new perspective to director Venky Atluri’s career. Interestingly, during its release on Netflix, the film created an unimaginable record.

As per the confirmation from the production house, Dulquer Salmaan’s Lucky Baskhar has become the first South Indian film to trend on the platform consecutively for over 13 weeks. It means that the film was trending for more than three months, until recently.

The Netflix’s South slate has a huge library of successful movies but still, Lucky Baskhar registered this huge achievement. The relatable plot, and the emotional connect with which the director drove the story impressed everyone. The performances are also so natural and the screenplay is very tight.

Dulquer Salmaan is having a great time in Telugu cinema. After Sita Ramam has become a hit, the success of Lucky Baskhar immediately put him in a couple of interesting projects. Even Venky Atluri is now working for Suriya’s next.
