Telugu audiences gave a thunderous response whenever a popular movie gets re-released. We have seen this trend in movies like Pokiri, Murari, Jalsa, Kushi and Gabbar Singh. Now, Superstar Mahesh Babu and Victory Venkatesh’s Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimallu Chettu also repeated the same feat. In fact, not many people expected SVSC to gain such huge openings considering its family image. However, it exceeded all expectations.
This Srikanth Addala directorial was re-released the other day to a huge reception. Most centres in Telugu states reported full houses for the movie, and big collections are expected on day one. As there are no big new theatrical releases this week, SVSC is expected to continue its glorious re-release run over the weekend as well.
The videos of fans celebrating the film in theatre and recreating iconic scenes went viral on social media, proving the cult following the movie gained over the last 12 years. SVSC was one of those movies which aged well with years passing. Produced by Dil Raju, SVSC features Samantha, Anjali, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Rao Ramesh and Rohini Hattangadi in the other key roles. Mickey J Meyer composed the music for this movie.
