In a rare and impressive phenomenon, some films released on Friday manage to see growth in their box office numbers on day two.
This trend is typically observed when a movie generates extraordinary word-of-mouth and positive reviews almost immediately after its release.
The Telugu version of Chhaava is a prime example of such a success story. Released this Friday, the film received encouraging reports, with unanimous praise pouring in.
As a result, the movie has seen an upward trend at the box office, with its business expanding on day two compared to its opening day.
On BookMyShow, the figures reflect this surge in interest. On day one, the film sold more than 57K tickets, but by day two, that number had grown to over 69K tickets, pointing to a growing audience and positive word-of-mouth.
The movie in it’s two days run collected a gross of 6.81 Cr. The early ticket bookings further suggest that this momentum will likely continue into Sunday.
The film, starring Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna, is helmed by director Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films.
The Telugu release was handled by Geetha Film Distributors, who took special care in the dubbing process, contributing significantly to the film’s strong performance in the Telugu market.
