Nani Is Highly Supportive Of VD: Nag Ashwin On Fan Wars

Fan wars between hero followers on social media are nothing new, but the recent clash between Nani and Vijay Deverakonda’s fans has intensified discussions online. Usually, the fan wars exist for a couple of days and get vanished completely from the internet space until another such situation arises. But this time, this fan war continued for so many days.

Addressing this topic, director Nag Ashwin who worked with both the actors shared his thoughts during a media interaction ahead of the re-release of Yevade Subramanyam on March 21.

Nag Ashwin clarified that he wasn’t aware of the fan wars but recalled that Nani was highly supportive of Vijay during the making of Yevade Subramanyam. He mentioned how the two actors would discuss every scene together, displaying a collaborative spirit on set.

As for the possibility of making another film with both actors, the director expressed skepticism, stating that attempting a similar story now might not have the same impact.

However, he did suggest that Naveen Polishetty could be a strong candidate to play Nani’s role if Yevade Subramanyam were to be remade, while a new face would be needed for Vijay’s role.
