‘Beggar’ Troubles For Puri Jagannath?

Director Puri Jagannath and actor Vijay Sethupathi are stepping forward to collaborate for an exciting film. Many think that this could be a bouncing back film for Puri. Interestingly, the title in consideration for the project is Beggar. However, there are now second thoughts about the same.

Most importantly, we hear that there will be issues in other languages as the same title has been registered in a few states.There are title issues in other languages as the current title is already registered. Hence, the team is considering a new title.

Although nothing has been confirmed officially, the team has received feedback for the title Beggar. Already in Telugu, there is a film titled Bichhagadu, starring Vijay Antony in the lead role. The film is the dubbed version to Tamil film Pichaikkaran. So, a title giving the same meaning might remind the audiences of the old film.

For all these reasons, the team is considering to choose a new title. Moreover, the makers also want to fix the original title in Telugu and add small tags in other languages, like in the case of Pradeep Ranganathan’s recent film Dragon. The film was titled Dragon in Tamil and Return of the Dragon in Telugu.

As of now, nothing has been finalized. The official announcement along with the details of the cast and crew will be out soon.
