A.R. Murugadoss was once celebrated as one of India’s most sought-after directors. With a string of unique blockbusters, the director enthralled a generation. But, he is now facing a challenging phase in his career. His failure streak began with Spyder, and his films slowly lacked demand. After many setbacks, Murugadoss took a break, but now he has returned with two high-profile projects: Sikander, starring Salman Khan, and Madraasi, featuring Sivakarthikeyan.
Unfortunately, Sikander was a big disappointment at the box office. Despite having a star cast like Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna, the film failed to attract audiences. The weak screenplay and lackluster execution are reportedly a reason for the film’s failure.
On the other hand, Sivakarthikeyan’s Madraasi is a ray of hope for the director’s fans. But, there are many questions about the project, leaving Sivakarthikeyan’s fans worried. The actor is currently enjoying a golden phase after Amaran’s success. Many felt that teaming up with Murugadoss at this point was risky, given the director’s declining track record.
With Sikander turning into disappointment, Murugadoss’ ability to bounce back is under scrutiny. While his past successes have cemented his legacy, the industry, and fans wonder if he can reclaim his former glory.
