It is nothing less than an exacting task for star director Rajamouli to keep up the success graph and meet the monetary expectations with his giant budget films. The one that is added to them is the balancing of the stardom of two superstars in his film RRR.
Though he has got the knack of handling the superstardom and huge budgets, Rajamouli seems to be taking a brain-break from large canvas films after RRR. It is heard that Rajamouli is not planning to line up Mahesh Babu’s project right after RRR, but is in plans of doing a small film before that.
It is believed to be one of his principles to put down the expectations of the audience and the mounting pressure due to big-ticket films, by taking up a medium or small budget movie before going for a giant one again. Needless to say that Rajamouli did that with Maryada Ramanna and Eega after Magadheera.
So if the reports are to be true, Rajamouli’s next after RRR is not Mahesh Babu’s movie, but a medium budget film probably with a young hero and in a non-routine genre next year.
