Pranav Mohanlal, the son of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, is reportedly in a relationship, but it’s not with actress Kalyani Priyadarshan, as many had speculated. Director Alleppey Ashraf recently cleared the air, confirming that Pranav is dating a woman from Germany, not Kalyani. Ashraf spoke to Kalyani’s mother, Lissy, who stated that Pranav and Kalyani are like siblings, and there’s no romantic connection between them.
The confusion started after Pranav and Kalyani shared great on-screen chemistry in the film Hridayam, sparking rumors of a real-life relationship. However, Pranav’s recent public appearance with a foreign woman at the Barroz screening put those rumors to rest. The woman, who attended the event with Pranav and his family, was seen leaving the venue with him, which led to more speculation.
Pranav, who prefers a private life, is also living in Spain at the moment. He’s taking part in a “Work Away” program on a farm, where he’s doing physical labor like caring for animals. His mother, Suchitra, revealed that Pranav values experiences over money, often turning down film offers to follow his own path. She mentioned that while she encourages him to act more often, he’s selective about his choices and focuses on other passions like music and travel.
Though fans were excited about the idea of Pranav and Kalyani as a couple, director Ashraf had a message for them: “It’s time to move on.” Pranav is in a relationship, but not with Kalyani Priyadarshan.
