‘Some people are just here to disturb films’

Lady Superstar Vijayashanti recently did her second movie during her second innings. The actress was seen in the mother’s role in Arjun, Son of Vyjayanthi. The film opened to a decent response from everyone, and Vijayashanthi’s performance is widely appreciated. The team met the media during the success meet today, and she spoke about the negative propaganda against the film.

During her speech at the success meet, Vijayashanti issued a mass-level warning to those she believes are deliberately spreading negativity about the film. Calling out what she termed as “sadism” and “evil forces,” she slammed those who, according to her, are purposefully trying to bring down the film and demoralize its team.

“Some people are just here to disturb films. That’s their culture — maybe it’s sadism or something else. But I’m warning you all, stop it. This is not good. Don’t go to theaters to spoil the experience for others. Be brave, stand up to those who mislead or brainwash you with negative propaganda — and if needed, confront them. But don’t ruin the hard work of hundreds of people,” she said.

“It’s not just about a single hero or heroine. Cinema is life for many people. When someone spreads negativity without a proper reason, it’s like taking away that life. I’ve been here for forty years, I’ve seen it all. But the new generation is still building their path. Let’s not be the reason for their downfall. Stop playing with lives,” she concluded.

Starring Kalyan Ram in the lead role and directed by Pradeep Chilukuri, the film was released yesterday at the box office.
