July is not a season where we see big releases often. Generally, big-ticket films prefer either festive or summer seasons for releases. But in a rare instance, we may see three biggies hitting the screens this July. They are Nithiin’s Thammudu, Ravi Teja’s Mass Jathara and Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Vishwabhara.
What makes this odd release season special is that all three heroes are coming from flops and need a solid hit with their respective upcoming films.
Nithiin has been facing consecutive flops since Bheeshma. Even his last film, Robinhood, ended up as a disaster. Thus, he pinned a lot of hopes on Thammuudu, directed by Venu Sriram. This movie is set for a theatrical release on July 4.
Just like Nithiin, even Ravi Teja has been facing a series of flops after Dhamaka. Now, he needs a solid hit, and he is aiming to score that success with Mass Jathara. Directed by Bhanu Bhogavarapu, this movie is set for a grand release on July 18.
On the other side, Megastar Chiranjeevi took a two-year break for his upcoming film Vishwabhara, which is set for a release on July 24. His last film, Bholaa Shankar, was a flop, and he needs to score a hit with this film. There are heavy budgets involved in this VFX-loaded socio-fantasy directed by Vassishta. Thus, it definitely needs to become a hit to put producers in a safe zone.
Let’s see if July turns out to be lucky for these three heroes and mark their strong comeback in 2025.
