Srinidhi Shetty Auditioned For Ramayana Before Sai Pallavi

Srinidhi Shetty is currently busy promoting her new film HIT 3. The film gears up for a grand release on May 1st. Interestingly, she was approached for the Sita character in Nitish Tiwari’s Ramayana. Featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Sriram, the actress was the first choice for the project.

Srinidhi Shetty has given an audition and even attended the screen test. She reportedly prepared herself for three scenes, too. The team was also happy with the way she had given the screen test. According to Srinidhi, the audience showered so much love on her pairing with Yash in both parts of KGF.

The discussions of Ramayana began a couple of months after KGF 2. Srinidhi said, “I had this feeling that if he plays Ravan and I play Sita, then we will be opposite na. People would have just seen us together, with that much love.” and then for people to just probably digest us again together, but being against each other. So, somewhere I thought it might or might not set.”

Eventually, the makers later approached Sai Pallavi who came on board to play goddess Seetha in the film. Even Srinidhi also acknowledges that Sai Pallavi is a great choice for the role.

Srinidhi Shetty plays a key role in HIT 3, with her character tied to a major twist. Promoting the film with Nani, she seems to have a strong presence. The team is keeping details under wraps, sharing only the trailer. Directed by Sailesh Kolanu, parts of the thriller were shot also in Pahalgam.
