After Hit3, All Eyes On Sam & Vishnu

After a disastrous April, Tollywood found respite in May first week with the release of Natural Star Nani’s new film, HIT: Chapter 3. Released on May 1, HIT 3 is having a good run at the box office. Meanwhile, we have to see if this week’s releases can carry that momentum. Here is a look at them:

1. Single:

This triangle love story features Sree Vishnu, Ivana and Ketika Sharma in lead roles. Sree Vishnu is known for delivering popular romantic comedies like Samajavaragamana and Mental Madhilo. The trailer of Single received a good response from the audience and increased expectations for the film. Carthick Raju directed the film while Vidya Koppineedi, Riyaz Choudhary and Bhanu Pratapa jointly bankrolled the project. Allu Aravind presented the movie. It is slated for theatrical release on May 9.

2. Shubham:

This is a new-age horror comedy bankrolled by Samantha. Directed by Praveen Kandregula, this movie features Harishith Reddy, Gavireddy Sreenivas, Charan Peri, Shriya Kontham, Shravani Lakshmi and Shalini Kondepudi in lead roles. Shubham will hit the screens on May 9.

3. Kaliyugam 2064:

Starring Shraddha Srinath and Kishore in lead roles, Kaliyugam 2064 is a dystopian science fiction film set in 2064. It is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual project which will release on May 9. Pramod Sundar directed the film.

4. Blind Spot:

Blind Spot is a crime thriller which features Naveen Chandra and Rashi Singh in lead roles. Directed by Rakesh Varma, this movie will also hit the theatres on May 9.

5. Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari:

Apart from new releases, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s iconic film Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari is also set for its re-release on May 9, on its 35th release anniversary. It will be available in both 2D in 3D formats.
