We have seen quite a few actors turning into producers to bankroll films with other actors. But Natural Star Nani is one such hero who made his banner, Wall Poster Cinema, a platform for new-age filmmakers and new-wave stories. Films like Awe, HIT, HIT 2, Court and HIT 3 prove Nani’s taste as a producer. Now, star actress Samantha is following in his footsteps with her banner, Tralala Productions.
Samantha started her banner Tralala Productions and her maiden production venture under this banner, Shubham, is all set for its theatrical release on May 9. Samantha said that her vision is to tell new stories and introduce new filmmakers under this production house.
Samantha said that as an actress as well as producer, she loves cinema to the core. She said, “I want to tell new stories that appeal to everyone. I want to give people the opportunity to tell such stories. This is my vision for Tralala Productions.”
Shubham is a horror comedy set against the backdrop of Vizag and features young budding actors in lead roles. If Shubham becomes a successful venture at the box office, we may get to see her bankrolling many more such small films in the future.
Nani already scored a hit with Court earlier this year. That movie was made with a minimal budget and featured newcomers as lead actors. It went on to become a successful venture at the box office. We have to see if Shubham can replicate the same success.
It is good to see big stars like Nani and Samantha encouraging new talents. If they score successes with those films, we may see more such production ventures from them and they will also pave path for other stars to encourage new talents.
