It looks like Balakrishna will be making a special appearance in Jailer 2. Though the team hasn’t made it official yet, sources say Balakrishna has given his nod.
In the first part of Jailer, stars like Shiva Rajkumar and Mohanlal were featured in key cameos. However, there was no special guest from the Telugu industry, and the makers seem to have noticed that gap. A few months ago, director Nelson Dilipkumar mentioned in an interview that he had originally thought of casting Balakrishna in the first part but couldn’t make it happen. Now it seems to be falling in place.
Here’s the exciting part. Inside talk reveals that Balakrishna will appear as a powerful police officer. The story might show some strong flashback episodes between Rajinikanth’s character Muthuvel Pandian and Balayya’s police role. There’s also talk that the makers may reuse the iconic name “Lakshmi Narasimha” for his role.
If this is true, fans can expect heavy-duty mass elevation scenes featuring both Rajinikanth and Balayya in police uniforms. Though this update is not official, Nelson is known for presenting mass moments in a stylish way, so this rare combo could be a treat on the big screen.
Interestingly, even before half the shoot is done, there is already massive demand for the Telugu rights of Jailer 2.
